Solution:-

Here,

  • a1 = (x +1 )
  • a2 = x
  • a3 = ( 4x + 2 )

⇒(a2 - a1 ) = ( a3 - a2 )

⇒[x - ( x + 1) ] = [ (4x + 2) - x ]

⇒[ x - x -1 ] = [ 4x + 2 - x]

⇒-1 = 3x + 2

⇒3x + 2 = -1

⇒3x = -1 -2

⇒3x = -3

⇒x =  \dfrac{-3}{3}

⇒X = -1

Hence , The value of x \:is  - 1
