SOLUTION

 =  >  \frac{x  - 1}{3}  =  \frac{x + 2}{ 6 + 3}  \\  =  >  \frac{x - 1}{3}  =  \frac{x + 2}{9}  \\  =  > 9x - 9 = 3x + 6 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (cross \: multiplication) \\  =  > 9x - 3x = 6 + 9 \\  =  > 6x = 15 \\  =  > x =  \frac{15}{6}  \\  \\   =  > x =  \frac{5}{2}
