Given ,

1st term = ( x + 1 )

2nd term = 3x

3rd term = ( 4x + 2 )

________________________________

→  2nd term - 1st term = 3x - ( x + 1 )

                                  = 3x - x - 1

                                  = 2x - 1

→  3rd term - 2nd term = 4x + 2 - 3x

                                   = x + 2

________________________________

These two differences are same because common difference is the same .

              → 2x -1 = x + 2

              → 2x -x = 2 + 1

              → x = 3

The three terms of the a.p. are 4 , 9 and 14 .

HOPE IT HELPS U ........... :)
