Your question:

\frac{x+1}{5} - \frac{x-7}{2} = 1

My answer:

\frac{x+1}{5} - \frac{x-7}{2} = 1

(by taking l.c.m of 5 &2)

\frac{2x+2-5x-35}{10}

(according to formulas)

-3x+37=10 \times1

-3x = 10-37

-3x=-27

⇒  x=\frac{27}{3}

\bold {x = 9}

Hence, the value of "x" is 9.

Answer:

 \frac{ - 3x - 33}{10}  = 1

( - 3x - 33)  = 1 \times  10

3x - 33 = 10

3x = 10  + 33

3x = 43

x =  \frac{43}{3}

 = 14.33
