Given equation is  \frac{(x-1)}{7x-14}=\frac{(x-3)}{7x-26}

Cross multiply

(x-1)(7x-26)=(x-3)(7x-14)

 7x^2-26x-7x+26=7x^2-14x-21x+42

 7x^2-26x-7x+26-7x^2+14x+21x-42=0

 -26x-7x+14x+21x+26-42=0

 (-26-7+14+21)x+26-42=0

 2x-16=0

2x=16

x=16/2

x=8

Hence final answer is x=8.
