⟹If x-1 is a factor then the value of x-1=0

value of x be 1

X-1 is a factor it means it divides the given polynomial completely .

put value of x in given polynomial to check whether it is a factor or not if it makes the given polynomial equals to 0 then it is a factor and vice-versa

2x^3-3x+5=2(1)^3-3(1)+5=2-3+5=-1+5=4

Here ,we see that 4 ≠0

so,( x-1) is not a factor of the given polynomial.
