Answer:

x³-5x²+kx+4x

x-1

x-1=0

X=1

now put the value of X in the polynomial

(1)³-5(1)²+k(1)+4(1)=0

1-5+k+4=0

-4+k+4=0

k=0

SOLUTION:-

Answer

• k=0

Given

• p(x) = x³-5x²+kx+4x

• g(x) = x-1

To Calculate

• Value of k

Explanation

• p(x) = x³-5x²+kx+4x=0

• g(x)= x-1

g(x) = x-1=0

g(x)= x =1

Putting x=1 in p(x)

p(x) = x³-5x²+kx+4x=0

➡️ (1)³-5×(1)²+k×1+4×1=0

➡️ 1- 5×1 +k×1+4×1=0

➡️ 1-5+k+4=0

➡️ k+5-5=0

➡️ k+0=0

➡️ k=0

Hence,

• Value of k is 0
