x-1-x^2-1+2x+4-4x

=-x^2-x+2

=x^2+x-2

=x^2+2x-x-2

=x(x+2)-1(x+2)

=(x-1)(x+2)

x=1,-2

Answer:

x - 1 - ( {x - 1)}^{2}  + 4 - 4x  = 0\\ x - 1 - ( {x}^{2}  + 1 - 2x) + 4 - 4x  = 0\\ x - 1 -  {x}^{2}  - 1 + 2x + 4 - 4x  = 0\\  -  {x}^{2}   - x + 2 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + x - 2 = 0 \\  {x}^{2}  + 2x - x - 2 = 0 \\ x(x + 2) - 1(x + 2) = 0 \\ (x + 2)(x - 1) = 0

x = 1 \: and \:  - 2
