 \frac{x + 1}{x - 1}  +  \frac{x - 2}{x + 2}  = 3

 \frac{(x + 1)(x + 2) + (x - 1)(x - 2)}{(x - 1)(x + 2)}  = 3

 {x}^{2}  + 3x + 2 +  {x}^{2}  - 3x + 2 = 3( {x}^{2}  + x - 2)

2 {x}^{2}  + 4 = 3 {x}^{2}  + 3x - 6

 {x}^{2}  + 3x - 10 = 0

 {x}^{2}  + 5x - 2x - 10 = 0

x(x + 5) - 2(x + 5) = 0

(x + 5)(x - 2) = 0

x =  - 5 \:  \: or \: 2
