First you have to multiply (x+2)by x

And then you have to multiply (x+2) by 1.

Sol. (x+1)(x+2)

x (x+2) + 1 (x+2)

x^2 +2x + x + 2

x^2 +3x +2

And if you have to find the value of x then you can use quadratic formula or split method.

So by using split method you will get again your equation (x+1)(x+2)
