QUESTION :  (x+1)(x+2)(x+3) find the degree of the polynomial ?

Answer : By multiplying each term we get

x³ − 6x²  + 11x − 6 = (x+1)(x+2)(x+3)

As highest degree is 3

Degree of the polynomial is 3

SHORT TRICK :

Just see how many times there is "x"

No of x = Degree of polynomial

eg :  (x+1)(x+2)

Degree of polynomial = 2

NOTE :

There should only multiplication

eg  (x+1)(x+2) - x²

Degree of polynomial = 1
