(x-1)(x+4) in standard form is

expanded form of itself.

Use F.O.I.L method here.

First → x × x

Outside → x × 4

Inside → -1 × x

Last → -1 × 4

By simplifying x²+4x-x-4,

we get x²+3x-4.
