x=8&

x=2

x-1=7

x=7+1

x=8

x+5=7

x=5-7

x=2

(x+1)(x+5)=7

x {}^{2}  + 5x + x + 5 = 7

x {}^{2}  + 6x + 5 = 7

x {}^{2}  + 6x = 7 - 5

x {}^{2}  + 6x = 2

x {}^{2}  = 2 - 6x

x =  \sqrt{2 - 6x}
