Answer: ( x-1) (y-1)= 3

xy-x-y+1=3

xy-x-y=2 multiply by 2 .

# 2xy-2x-2y=4 .........eq (1)

Now (x-2) (y-2)= 2

xy-2x-2y+4=2

xy-2x-2y =-2.............eq(2)

Now eq(1)-eq(2)

xy =2

x= 2/y...... substitute this in eq 1. Or the initial exp x-1 y-1 = 3

(x-1) (y-1) = (2-y)(y-1)= 3y

Now find y here.... that's all!?
