by putting the value of x = 1 and y=2 in both equation we find whether it is a solution or not.

1. x+2y=3

put x= 1 y=2

1+4=3

5=3

means if the value are same on both LHS and RHS it would be a solution.

but it is not because both values on LHS and RHS are different so the equation

x+2y=3 is not a solution.

2. x+y=3

put x= 1 y=2

1+2=3

3=3

it is a solution because both values on LHS and RHS are same so the equation

x+y=3 is a solution.
