Solution:-

=) x + 12 = 12 / ( x + 1)

=) ( x + 12) ( x + 1) = 12

=) x² + x + 12x + 12 = 12

=) x² + 13x = 12 - 12

=) x² + 13x = 0

=) x ( x + 13) = 0

=)[ x = -13 ] and [ x = 0 ]

Hence,

x takes the value of - 13.
