Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{ {x^{2} + 1} }{ {(x + 1)}^{2} }  =  \frac{13}{25}

we \: can \: write \: ( {x}^{2}  + 1) \: as \: (x + 1)^{2}

 \frac{(x + 1)^{2} }{(x + 1)^{2} }  =  \frac{13}{25}

by cross multiplying:

13(x + 1)^{2}  = 25(x + 1)^{2}

13 (x + 1)(x + 1) = 25(x + 1)(x + 1)

13 = 25

 =  \frac{25}{13}

hope it helps :)
