x^2-10x+9=0
(X)^2-2×X× 10/2+9=0.
{◆writing in the form of a^2-2ab+b^2
formula}
Now add and subtract (10/2)^2 that is 5^2
we get,
X^2-2×X×5+(5)^2-(5)^2+9=0
(X-5)^2=25-9.
{since X^2-2×X×5+5^2 is of the form a^2-2ab+b^2 it can be written in the form (a+b)^2}
X-5=√16
X-5= plus or minus 4
therefore,
X=+4+5
{OR}
X=(-4)+5

X=9 OR X=1 is the required value of X.....
