to find: value of x

a = 1, b = 2√2, c = - 6

=> x = [- b ± √(b² - 4ac)] / 5a

=> x = [- 2√2 ± √( 2√2)² - 4(1)(-6)] / 2*1

=> x = [-2√2 ± √ (8 + 24)] / 2

=> x = [-2√2 ± √(32)] / 2

=> x = [-2√2 ± 5.66] / 2

=> x = (-2√2 + 5.66) / 2 = 1.416

=> x = (-2√2 - 5.66) / 2 = - 4.244
