2

=> x/2+2y/3= -1

=> 3x/6+4y/6= -1

=> 3x+4y/6 = -1

=> 3x+4y = -6 -----(1)

=> x/1-y/3=3

=> 3x-y/3 = 3

=> 3x-y = 9

=> 3x-9=y -------(2)

SUBSTITUTING (2) IN (1)

=> 3x + 4(3x-9) = -6

=> 3x + 12x - 36 = -6

=> 15x = -6+36

=> 15x = 30

=> x = 2

=> y = 3(2)-9

= 6-9 = -3

therefore, x = 2 and y = -3
