by equating the equations

3x+2y=-6---(I)

2x-y=6----(ii)

multiply the (I) by negative 1

we get

-3x-2y=6----(iii)

from (ii) and (iii)

-3x-2y=2x-y

-2y+y=5x

-y=5x

y=-5x

now substitute y in (ii)

2x-5x=6

-3x=6

x=-2

y=-5(-2)

=10
