1st equation,

x/2+2y/3 = 3x+4y/6 = 1
3x+4y=6 ------ (a)

2nd equation,

x-y/3=3
x-y = 9 -------- (b)

Multiplying (b) by 3,
3x-3y = 27 ------- (c)

Subtracting (c) from (a),
3x+4y = 6
-3x+3y= -27

Hence, 7y = -21
Hence, y = -3
Now, from (a),
3x+4 (-3)=6
3x-12=6
3x=18
x=6

Therefore, x=6 and y = -3

Hope it helps.....
