solution:

x^2/3 + x^1/3 - 2 = 0

=> (x^1/3)² + x^1/3 -2 = 0

Splitting the middle term we get,

=> (x^1/3)²+2x^1/3-1x^1/3 -2=0

=> x^1/3(x^1/3+2)-1(x^1/3+2)=0

=> (x^1/3+2)(x^1/3-1)=0

=> x^1/3+2 = 0 Or x^1/3-1 = 0

=> x^1/3 = -2 or x^1/3 = 1

On cubeing both sides,we get

=> x =(-2)³ or x = 1³

=> x = -8 or x = 1
