x \:  -   \:  \frac{2}{4}  +  \frac{1}{3 \:}  \:  = x \:  - 2x -  \frac{1}{3}

x - x + 2x =   - \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{2}{4}

 - 2x + 2x =  \frac{2}{4}  \:  \: ( -  \frac{1}{3}  +  \frac{1}{3}  \:  = 0)

 \frac{2}{4 \: }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: ( - 2x + 2x = 0)

Required answer =

 \frac{2}{4}  =  \frac{1}{2}
