Answer:

LHS = 3(x-2) + 1×4/12

= 3x - 6 + 4 / 12

= (3x - 2 ) / 12

RHS = 3x -2x - 1/3

=( x - 1 ) / 3

Now, LHS = RHS

( 3x - 2 ) / 12 = ( x-1) / 3

or 3 (3x - 2) = 12( x - 1) [ cross multiplication ]

or 9x - 6 = 12x - 12

or 9x - 12x = -12 + 6

or -3x = -6 [ -ve sign cancels each other ]

or X = 6/3

or X = 2

Therefore , the answer is 2.

Hope it helps you,❤️
