Answer:

It will lie on the fourth quadrant

Solution:-

x/2+4/3= 3x+8/6

3x+8= 6

3x= 6-8

3x = -2

Here x=3 and y= -2

Since 1st quadrant has (+,+) 2nd quadrant has(-,+) 3rd quadrant has (-,-) and 4th quadrant has(+,-)

\frac{x}{2}+\frac{4}{3}=1 is situated on the X axis and on the left side of the origin.

Given,

An equation: \frac{x}{2}+\frac{4}{3}=1.

To Find,

The position of the point on the XY plane.

Solution,

The method of finding the position of the point is as follows -

We need to solve the equation \frac{x}{2}+\frac{4}{3}=1.

\frac{x}{2}+\frac{4}{3}=1\frac{x}{2}=1 - \frac{4}{3}= \frac{3-4}{3}=-\frac{1}{3}

\frac{x}{2} =-\frac{1}{3}

x=-\frac{2}{3}

So the coordinates of the point is (-\frac{2}{3}, 0).

Since the y-coordinate is 0, the point lies on the X axis and since the value of the x-coordinate is negative, the point lies on the left side of the origin.

Hence, \frac{x}{2}+\frac{4}{3}=1 is situated on the X axis and on the left side of the origin.
