\star\:\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Question:-}

  • Find the roots of the quadratic equation.

\star\:\:\:\bf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}

 {x}^{2}  - 9x - 10 = 0

 \implies  {x}^{2}  - 10x + x - 10 = 0

 \implies x(x - 10) + 1(x - 10) = 0

 \implies (x + 1)(x - 10) = 0

Therefore, either x+1=0 or x-10=0.

So,

x + 1 = 0

  \implies x =  - 1

Also,

x - 10 = 0

  \implies x =  10
