Solution :-

Solving the quadratic equation,

→ x² + 9x + 20

→ x² + 5x + 4x + 20

→ x(x + 5) + 4(x + 5)

→ (x + 5)(x + 4) .

since we know that,

  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

therefore, we can conclude that,

  • Length = (x + 5) or (x + 4) .
  • Breadth = (x + 5) or (x + 4) .
  • vice - versa .

To Find :  Find the possible length and breadth

Solution:

x² + 9x + 20

middle term split

x² + 5x + 4x + 20

= x( x+ 5) + 4(x + 5)

= (x + 5)(x + 4)

Area of rectangle = Length * breadth

Possible length and breadth  are ( x + 5) and (x + 4)
