In the form 'Ax2+Bx+C' both BandC are +

That the C is + means that either both terms are positive or both

terms are negative.

The B is positive so this means that both terms must be positive.

The sum of the products of the factors must equal 9 .

The combination that equals 9 is

2×2 and 5×1

4+5=9 so

(2x+5)×(x+2)
