As x -2 is the factor of the equation so it should satisfy equation so

x-2=0

x = 2

So , putting x=2 in equation we get

4+ 2k + 2k =0

4k =-4

K = -1

Answer:

x - 2

is a factor then

p(2)= 0

the given polynomial is x²+ Kx+k

 {2}^{2}  + 2k + k = 0 \\ 4  + 3k = 0 \\ 3k =  - 4 \\ k =  \frac{ - 4}{3}
