finally the value of k will be 4...2^2+2k-12=0
therefore k = 4...

msbhanusepb1bl6: yes
anikadhull: how could I do that
msbhanusepb1bl6: i am percent right
anikadhull: means what
msbhanusepb1bl6: as it is given that x = 2 is a root of that equation first one.... means X - 2 = 0.... therefore X equals to 2.... substituting the value of x we get the answer as 4
anikadhull: plz.reply fast
msbhanusepb1bl6: I mean to say that if X = 2 is a root of the given equation first one then it should satisfy the equation means the final answer should be zero... why we have to put x equals question
msbhanusepb1bl6: x=2 in the equation
anikadhull: hmm. u r right
msbhanusepb1bl6: if u need any help then send me your question

(2)²+2k-12
2k-8=0.........(1)
(2)²+2k-9=0
2k-5=0.......(2)
from 1 and 2
4k-13=0
4k=13
k=4/13
