Since x+2 is a factor of the polynomial p(x) .

Therefore => x+2=0

=> x=-2

Putting the value of x in the given equation we get .

-8m+4n=8 (a)

Similarly when polynomial p(x) is divided by (x-2) leaves remainder 4.

=> x-2=0

=> x=2

Now putting the value of x in the given equation we get .

8m+4n-4=4

=>8m+4n=8. (b)

hence equate equations a and b you will get the value of m and n
