(x^2/x^4-y^4)-(y^2/x^4-y^4)

= (x^2-y^2)/(x^4-y^4)

= (x^2-y^2)/(x^2-y^2)^2

= (x^2-y^2)/(x^2+y^2)(x^2-y^2)

= 1/x^2+y^2
