x-y = 4

x²-y² = 28

=> (x+y)(x-y) = 28

=> 4(x+y) = 28

=> (x+y) = 7

(x+y)+(x-y) = 7+4 = 11 => 2x = 11=> x = 11/2

y = 7-x = 7-(11/2) = (14-11)/2 = 3/2

(2x+2y)² = (2×11/2 + 2×3/2)² = (11+3)² = 14² = 196
