We know that,
(x+1)²= x²+1²+2(1)(x)= x²+1+2x
In the given equation,
x²-y²+2x+1= (x+1)²-y² or (x+1)²-(y)²
We also know that
a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)
Here,
(x+1)²-(y)²= (x+1+y)(x+1-y)
Hope it helps! Please mark it as 'Brainliest'!
