we are given that x is in inverse variation with y .

so , x is inversely proportional to 1/y

x = k/y ----A

where k is the constant of variation

we are given that x = 20 and k = 300

substitute the value in A

20 = 300/y

y = 300/20

y = 15

Hence , the value of y is 15
