EXPLANATION.
⇒ x - 2y = 0. - - - - - (1).
⇒ 3x + 4y = 20. - - - - - (2).
As we know that,
From equation (1), we get.
⇒ x - 2y = 0. - - - - - (1).
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ (0) - 2y = 0.
⇒ - 2y = 0.
⇒ y = 0.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,0).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ x - 2(0) = 0.
⇒ x = 0.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,0).
From equation (2), we get.
⇒ 3x + 4y = 20. - - - - - (2).
Put the value of x = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 3(0) + 4y = 20.
⇒ 4y = 20.
⇒ y = 5.
Their Co-ordinates = (0,5).
Put the value of y = 0 in equation, we get.
⇒ 3x + 4(0) = 20.
⇒ 3x = 20.
⇒ x = 20/3.
⇒ x = 6.66.
Their Co-ordinates = (6.66,0).
Both curves intersects at point = (4,2).
