It is in the form of (a-b)²

We know that, (a-b)² = a²+b²-2ab

By using that identity :-

(x-2y)² = x²+(2y)²-2(x)(2y)

➝ x²+4y²-4xy

Therefore, the expansion of (x-2y)² is x²+4y²-4xy.
