Correct Question :-

x + 2y = 3/2

2x + y = 3/2

Solution :-

x + 2y = 3/2…………...(a)

2x + y = 3/2…………...(b)

Now,

Multiply (b) by 2 we get,

4x + 2y = 3 ………..(c)

Now,

Subtract (a) from (c) we get,

3x = 3 - 3/2

3x = (6 - 3)/2

3x = 3/2

x = 3/2 × 1/3

x = 1/2

Now,

Substituting value of x in (c)

4x + 2y = 3

4 × 1/2 + 2y = 3

2 + 2y = 3

2y = 3 - 2

2y = 1

y = 1/2

Therefore,

x = 1/2   and y = 1/2
