from eq 1...

x = 3-2y

put the value of x in eq 2

so ,3x - 3y = 5

3(3-2y) -3y =5

9-6y - 3y = 5

9-9y =5

-9y = -4

y = 4/9..

x = put the value of y in any eq.

x - 2y = 3

x - 2(4/9) = 3

x = 3-(-8/9)

x = 3/1+8/9

x = 35/9
