Answer:

x+2y=3 -- (1)

5x+ky=-7-- (2)

from eq. (1)

2y=3-x

y=3-x/2 --(3)

put value of 'y' from eq. (3) in eq. (2)

5x+k(3-x/2)=-7

by taking LCM

10x+k(3-x)=-14

k= -14-10x/(x-3)
