(x+2y+3)(x+2y+7)

=[(x+2y)+3][(x+2y)+7] taking (x+2y) as 'a'

=(a+3)(a+7)

=a(a+7)+3(a+7)

=a^2+7a+3a+21

=a^2+10a+21

Now, putting the value of a in the eq.

=(x+2y)^2+10*(x+2y)+21

=x^2+2y^2+10x+20y+21

HOPE YOU FIND IT HELPFUL..
