x+2y=5,3x/2+3y=10 solve by elimination method

 Given \: x + 2y = 5 \: --(1)

 and \: \frac{3x}{2} + 3y = 10 \: --(2)

/* Multiplying equation (1) by 3 and equation (2) by 2 , we get */

 3x + 6y = 15 \:--(3)

 and \:3x + 6y = 20 \: --- (4)

Here , Coefficients of x and y are equal .and Constant terms are unequal .

  So, the \:pair \: of \:linear \:equations \; are

 parallel\: and \: have \:no \: solution.
