Given :

x + 2y = 7

3x + y = 35

To find :

value of x and y

Solution :

\implies x + 2y = 7

 \leadsto 2y = 7-x

\leadsto y = \frac{7-x}{2} ...... (1)

by putting value of y in other equation .

\implies 3x + y = 35

\leadsto 3x + \frac{7-x}{2} = 35

\leadsto \frac{6x + 7 -x }{2} = 35

\leadsto \frac{5x+6}{2} = 35

\leadsto 5x+6 = 35 \times 2

\leadsto 5x + 6 = 70

\leadsto 5x = 70 - 6

 \leadsto 5x = 64

\leadsto\bold\purple  { x =  \frac{64}{5} }
