Answer:

2y=x+7

Y=(x+7)/2

Putting this value of y in 2nd equation, we get-

4x+3*(x+7)/2=5

8x+3x+21=10

11x=-11

X=-1(putting this value of x in equation 1st we get.

Y=(-1+7)/2

Y=3.

Answer:

let the x-2y=-7 be equation.......(1)

4x+3y=5be equation......(2)

by elimination method

x-2y=-7×4

4x-8y=-28.......(3)

4x+3y=-5........(2)

- - -

-11y=-33

y=3

putting the value of y in equation (2)

4x+3y=5

4x+3(3)=5

4x+9=5

4x=-4

x=-1

so, the value of x=-1 and y=3
