x = 2

y = -1

z = 1

(x - 2y + z) ( x - 3z)

= x(x - 2y + z) - 3z(x - 2y + z)

= x² - 2xy + xz - 3xz + 6yz - 3z²

= x² - 2xy - 2xz + 6yz - 3z²

Substitute the values of x , y, z

= (2)² - 2(2)(-1) - 2(2)(1) + 6(-1)(1) - 3(1)²

= 4 + 4 - 4 - 6 - 3

= 8 - 10 - 3

= - 2 - 3

= - 5
