so if i take all the x in 1 equation and y in another and numbers in another it will equal to 3x-2x-x = 1 = 3y-y

so 2y = 1

then y is 1/2 or 0.5

if we put it in the equation then

3x - 1 = x-1.5

so 2x = -0.5

that is x = -0.25

Solution :

Here ,

It is given that ;

x - Зу = 3х - 1 = 2х - у

• Consider x - Зу = 3х - 1

=> x - Зу = 3х - 1

=> 3x - 1 - x + 3y = 0

=> 2x + 3y - 1 = 0 --------(1)

• Considering 3х - 1 = 2х - у

=> 3х - 1 = 2х - у

=> 3x - 1 - 2x + y = 0

=> x + y - 1 = 0 -------(2)

Multiplying eq-(2) by 3 , we get ;

=> 3(x + y - 1) = 3•0

=> 3x + 3y - 3 = 0 -------(3)

Now ,

Subtracting eq-(1) from (3) , we get ;

=> (3x + 3y - 3) - (2x + 3y - 1) = 0 - 0

=> 3x + 3y - 3 - 2x - 3y + 1 = 0

=> x - 2 = 0

=> x = 2

Now ,

Putting x = 2 in eq-(2) , we get ;

=> x + y - 1 = 0

=> 2 + y - 1 = 0

=> y + 1 = 0

=> y = -1

Hence ,

x = 2 , y = -1
