See first of all you have to find the LCM(Least Common Multiple) of 3 and 1 i.e 3.Then you have to just add x/3 and 1 which is equal to 7/15(given).Next, you have to cross multiply x+3 and 3 with 15 and 7 respectively where you will get the linear equation as 15x+45=21.After shifting 45 to the right hand side you will get 15x=21-45 =>15x=-24=>x=-24/15 =>x=-8/3
