To solve:-

  • x/3 -2 = x/5 + 8

SolutioN:-

 \implies  \frac{x}{3}  - 2 =  \frac{x}{5}  + 8

  • Collect like terms.

 \implies  \frac{x}{3}  -  \frac{x}{5} =  8 + 2

 \implies  \frac{x}{3}  -  \frac{5x-3x}{15} =  10

 \implies  \frac{x}{3}  -  \frac{2x}{15} = 10

 \implies  2x = 10 \times 15

 \implies  2x = 150

 \implies  x = \frac{150}{2}

 \implies  x = 75

Verification:-

 \implies  \frac{x}{3}  - 2 =  \frac{x}{5}  + 8

  • Put x = 75

 \implies  \frac{75}{3}  - 2 =  \frac{75}{5}  + 8

 \implies  \frac{75-6}{3}  =  \frac{75+40}{5}

 \implies  \frac{69}{3}  =  \frac{115}{5}

 \implies  23 = 23

Hence, Verified.

Thus , The Value of x is 75.
