By hit and trial 3 is zero of it

so, (x-3) will be an factor of it.

Dividing x^3-6x-9 by (x-3) will give the another factor

So, refer to picture no 1 for the factorization &

Luckily I saw your question before and hence answer for your question is in second pic...

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x^3-6x-9

we can write the expresstion as follows

x^3-6x-9

x^3-9x+3x-9

x(x^2-9) +3(x-3)

we can write (x^2-9) as (x+3)(x-3)

x(x+3)(x-3) + 3(x-3)

(x-3) [x(x+3) + 3]

(x-3) (x^2+3x+3)

Factoring  x2+3x+3

The first term is,  x2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  +3x  its coefficient is  3 .

The last term, "the constant", is  +3

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • 3 = 3

Step-2 : Find two factors of  3  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   3 .

     -3    +    -1    =    -4

     -1    +    -3    =    -4

     1    +    3    =    4

     3    +    1    =    4

Observation : No two such factors can be found

Final Result:

(x-3) (x^2+3x+3)
